What Do We Know About Political Corruption?
We know that political corruption is rife throughout the world. Yet, perhaps the worst country in the world with a corrupt government who cares only for themselves and not the people is, of course – Russia. Their country is run by a political corrupt dictatorship. Putin has divided his country. There are those who hate the regime they live in, and those ignorant who know only what Putin wants them to know. But political corruption is commonplace in many countries of the world.
Political corruption covers the following.
1. The state of affairs of a country where the government is corrupt. It refers to the misuse of public power by individuals, or groups to benefit themselves, rather than the general welfare of society.
2. Corruption refers to the abuse of power, influence, position, office, or other means for private gain or advantage, or in order to advance some ulterior motives.
3. The act or practice of corrupting: corruptive; corrupt.
4. The state of being corrupt.
From the above; you can easily fit the round ball into the round hole and the square cube into the square hole. It just fits.
How Does Corruption Affect The People Of A Nation or A Country?
Corruption affects those who live in a regime with a dictator's leadership. Political corruption is an important factor which is used to explain why there is so much poverty and inequality in some countries. Corruption, as many economists believe, is the result of poor economic policies which lead to shortages of basic goods. If there are not enough jobs, workers have no other choice but to try to make a living through corruption. Corruption is a major problem in most developing countries. As a consequence, it has affected the people of these countries for years.
The Following Countries Are Known To Have Corrupt Governments
There are many countries that are known to be corrupt and here are just a few of those countries;
China, North Korea, Venezuela, Russia, Iran, Mexico, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda.
Whilst the list of these countries are ones that we know or have heard quite openly about corrupt activities. It may not be a shock to know that we have corruption in western civilized countries too.
America, UK, and Europe have a history of political corruption, especially when it comes down to serving the people, or serving for one's own gain. Most people in positions of power rarely consider other people first, and make sure their own agendas are catered for before anything else.
Spywitness news spoke to NC-11 political candidate Col Ret. Rod Honeycutt about political corruption at the national level and the local level of politics. We asked him what he thought about corruption in politics, and he summed it up beautifully with this comment.

British Government Mired In Corruption Scandals
It is very rare to label corruption in Britain. The country is not widely known for corrupt practices, so one could argue that political scandal is akin to corruption. Borris Johnson has been the center of many political scandals with cries of political corruption thrown into the mix. The British Government and the Prime Minister continue to come under fire for the many scandals they have been involved in. The move is part of the Government's drive to crack down on what it calls, "anticompetitive practices" in the lobbying industry.
Mrs May said that she was looking at a new offense of corporate influence in politics to tackle the problem of MPs accepting freebies from corporations or interest groups. She was speaking after a committee of MPs published a report calling on the Government to introduce a new offense that would make it illegal for MPs to accept gifts or hospitality from firms or interest groups.
Corruption and Russian Support of Mass Genocide
The government of Russia is not only corrupt from the inside out, we now know it supports mass genocide. This is clearly evident from the recent events in Ukraine. Countries have openly labeled Putin as corrupt and genocidal and the latest to support the claim is Czeckosloviaka. It is only a matter of time before other countries join the list of believers.
The Russian government and Putin do not care about whom they destroy in order to achieve their goals. The man who ordered the shooting down of a passenger jet over Russia in 1999 is the same man who ordered the killing of innocent civilians like women and children. Putin continually talks about the use of his nuclear arsenal. He throws out threats like a ball in a baseball game. What may be going on in his head is something that can only be imagined. The western world is concerned about the state of his mind. This is in part due to the suggestions of illness from the inside and what has been evident in his behavior.
Global Political Corruption
Whilst corruption is problematical throughout the globe, and touches all corners, one has to consider that perhaps now we have come to a tipping point. The invasion of Ukraine has ousted corruption in politics globally, and may require deep change throughout the world to bring some form of equilibrium. Has the invasion of Ukraine highlighted political corruption at its worst and been a catalyst for genocide to support corrupt activities at the highest levels?
